Referral services do tend to be more costly than other veterinary work. This is largely because it takes considerable resources and expertise to provide our patients with highly qualified dedicated veterinary specialists and nurses supported by state of the art equipment.
Vets Now Referrals veterinary fees reflect the high standards and attention to detail we apply to every level of your pet’s treatment and care. Our receptionists will be able to give you the latest pricing for your pet’s referral consultation.
Once you meet your consulting vet and it is determined that further treatment is suitable and available for your pet, you will be advised of the potential cost to assist you in your decision as to whether you wish to progress. However, as your pet’s condition may change, so may their treatment requirements, which may involve extra costs. If this is the case, we will ask for your approval before any further treatment is undertaken.
Unless your pet is insured, we will always require full payment at the time of consultation. We accept cash and credit card payments.
If your pet is insured:
Where we can, we will claim payment directly from your insurance company so you do not have to pay the full amount at the time of treatment. We must remind you that you will remain liable for any outstanding amounts on the bill should your insurance company not provide full payment. Please bring with you:
- A copy of the insurance claim form, signed and completed by the holder of the insurance (a copy is required for each visit)
- A copy of the insurance policy
- A bank statement with proof of latest insurance premium payment
- A means of payment of the excess as this is required at the time of consultation
We will complete the claim form on your behalf and submit it to your insurance company.
Levels of insurance cover vary between policies and it is your responsibility to check the level of cover offered by your insurance policy. Your contract of insurance exists between yourselves and your insurance company and any queries should be raised directly with them, we are merely helping to facilitate your claim for you. Please note an excess is applicable to each individual condition being claimed for. On some policies your excess may also include a percentage of the total amount claimed.
