We currently have a unique opportunity for an experienced emergency clinician to join our clinical team at our 24/7 emergency and speciality hospital in Swindon. The role involves working during the daytime hours alongside our specialist team to accept daytime emergencies and manage our critically ill hospitalised in-patients. The successful candidate will either already be an Advanced Practitioner in ECC or will be studying towards this goal. There will also be opportunities to become involved with teaching and mentoring less experienced emergency vets. You will be working alongside our multi-disciplinary specialist team with excellent nursing support and all the facilities expected of a state of the art hospital including CT.

ECC Internship – Glasgow Hospital
Vets Now Referrals Glasgow is offering a one-year Internship in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care to start January 2016
This is a rare opportunity for a vet surgeon looking to gain deeper knowledge into the management of Emergency and Critical Care patients while working under the supervision of an established ECC referrals team that includes three ECC Specialists.
Vets Now Referrals Glasgow is one of only four veterinary institutions offering an ECVECC approved ECC residency programme and offers the only ECVECC residency in private practice.The Emergency and Critical Care service provides emergency and critical care 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
The successful ECC intern will be directly supported by 2 ECC diplomats (ACVECC /ECVECC), two ECC residents and dedicated nursing staff.
Requirements for this role include:
- A recognised veterinary degree
- RCVS membership
- Previous experience in a UK based small animal practice
- A good standard of written and spoken English.

- 12 months experience within a referral hospital setting
- Ambitious, passionate in their work, shows drive and motivation to lead the team and can hit the ground running with innovative ideas
- Key Benefits:
- Day shifts predominantly
- 45 hours per week, 5 day working week (8am-4:30pm), late shift i.e. every other weekend and ability to stay later than 4:30pm on days if caseload requires it.
